Hub Motor Test Bench:

Hub motor test benches are unique. They are built for higher torque at lower speed. The speeds of a hub motor for a normal moped or scooter never exceed 1100 rpm. To cater to this lower speed, we can either use a transient dyno or a powder brake dyno. A transient dyno will typically be very expensive to build, operate analyse due to its higher cost of purchase and software. Whereas, a powder dyno is cheaper to build and operate. The software is much cheaper to build. The only negative being this type of set up can test only low rpm outer runner motors. Control accuracy is at 30 ms and data recording is at 20 ms.
